     Raymond Joseph McDonald married Ann Ellen Coughlin, daughter of Edward Joseph Coughlin and Florence Agnes Mitchell, on 3 May 1958 at St. Thomas Church, Waterbury, Connecticut, by Father James Tyler. The best man was John Carroll and the maid of honor was Carol Lukesavage.1,2,6
     Ann died on 26 April 2001 at Bridgeport, Connecticut, at age 63 leaving Raymond a widower.7,2
     He was an avid reader who never saw a book he didn't like, and was always curious about what friends or strangers were reading. He would happily make recommendations about books that he thought they might enjoy.8
     Raymond Joseph McDonald died on 19 December 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 81.9 He was buried on 29 December 2016 at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut.10
