     Clara Ellen died on 7 May 1900 at 37 Welton Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 35 from dysentery and heart failure leaving William Alfred a widower.2,38
     William Alfred Littlehales, age 36, appears as William Littlehead, head of household in the census of 28 June 1900 in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut, with Beatrice Annie Littlehales, Mabel Lillian Littlehales and Clara Ethel Littlehales.7 William Alfred Littlehales resided on 28 June 1900 at 37 Welton Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, with his daughters Beatrice, Mabel, and Ethel.7 He was found on a passenger list on 30 August 1900 at Liverpool, England, sailing from New York on the S. S. Servia with his daughter, Beatrice and Mabel after the death of their mother. He was bringing them to stay with his wife's family in Sheffield, England.39 He was found on a passenger list on 30 June 1909 at New York, New York, sailing from Liverpool on the S.S. Caronia.40
