Uncle Joshua Mahony was also listed on the log, but a few spaces above them. They were returning from a visit to Sheffield. The family sailed from Liverpool on the S.S. Lucania.3

     Mabel Lillian Littlehales resided on 28 June 1900 at 37 Welton Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, with her father and her sisters Beatrice and Ethel.17 She was found on a passenger list on 30 August 1900 at Liverpool, England, with William Alfred Littlehales, her father, and Beatrice Annie Littlehales, her sister; sailing from New York on the S. S. Servia with his daughter, Beatrice and Mabel after the death of their mother. He was bringing them to stay with his wife's family in Sheffield, England.18
     Mabel Lillian Littlehales appears as Mabel Lilian Littlehales, age 4, in the census of 1901 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England,in the household of Elizabeth Whiteley as her niece.19 Mabel Lillian Littlehales resided in 1901 at Sheffield, England, with her great aunt, Elizabeth Whiteley Burton and her daughter, Lily Burton.6 She was found on a passenger list on 9 May 1905 at New York, New York, with her adoptive mother, Lily Burton who was immigrating from England to come to the United States to marry Joshua Mahony, the brother-in-law of her deceased cousin, Clara Knutton Littlehales. Clara was the biological mother of Mabel. They sailed on the Umbria.4

She use to take Gram to the store for candy. Needless to say, she liked Mabel. Mabel lived with Lillian Burton until Lillian's death. But, before this gram does not know where Mabel was living or with whom. It was in 1915 that Percy, Clara, and Lillie Burton died.20
     Mabel Lillian Littlehales, age 32, appears as head of household in the census of 15 April 1930 in 45 Prospect Street, Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut, with Edith K. Calkins, a lodger.8 She was maid of honor at the marriage of Reverend Richard Stanley Merrill Emrich and Beatrice Annie Littlehales, (her sister), daughter of William Alfred Littlehales and Clara Ellen Knutton, on 23 November 1937 at the Chapel in St. George's Church, New York, New York; The marriage was performed by the Rev. Dr. Elmore McNeill McKee at 4:00 PM. Beatrice's sister, Mabel, was her attendant. The best man was Dr. Duncan Black Macdonald Emrich, a brother of the groom.21,22,2 Mabel Lillian Littlehales was a member of the First Baptist Church and its Women's Group, as well as the assistant financial secretary Waterbury, Connecticut.9
     Mabel Lillian Littlehales died on 10 February 1996 at Oak Cliff Convalescent Home, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 98.9 She was buried on 4 May 1996 at Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut.23,24
