     Margaret Ruth Smith married second Arthur (Hallon or Halton) Mather circa 1903; Bernice Healey said that Margaret married Arthur when Ernest's step-brother, Harold, was one year old. The 1910 census says that they had been married for two years which meant that they were married in 1908.28,7,8,27,29 Margaret Ruth Smith and Arthur (Hallon or Halton) Mather were living at New Bedford, Massachusetts, when they first got married. Art's cousin owned a mill there..27

She shares a cemetery stone with her husband. Her parents, Seth and Hannah Smith as well as her sister, Hannah Mae Smith Flanigan, are all buried nearby.10
