     Augustin Aimé Francis Sinotte was born on 13 May 1867 at St-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada.8,9,10,11 He immigrated in 1878 to United States.9
     Augustin Aimé Francis Sinotte married Mary Ann Phelan, daughter of Dennis Phelan and Sarah Bergin, on 21 August 1889 at St. Patrick's Church, Waterbury, Connecticut.12,13,14,15,16,17,5
     Frank Sinotte, age 33, appears as head of household in the census o f 7 June 1900 in 621 North Riverside Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, with Mary Ann Phelan, Sadie Synott, Eleanor Marie Synott and Francis Joseph Synott Sr. Augustus and Mary Sinnot, Frank's parents, and a son Didace and a daughter Eleanor lived on one floor at the same address as Frank. On another floor was Frank and his family, and then a third family, a Joseph and Liana Sinnott, his brother and sister-in-law on the top floor.18 Frank and Mary resided in June 1900 at 621 North Riverside Street, Waterbury, Connecticut.18

Synott and Rosemary Synott. Frank's Parents, Augustin and Eleanor Synott, were enumerated on this census. Augustin was the head of the household.2 Frank and Mary resided on 21 April 1910 at 619 North Riverside, Waterbury, Connecticut, with Frank's parents and his sister, Eleanor (26yrs old) and their children Sadie, Eleanor, Francis, Raymond, and Rose.2
     Mary Ann died on 18 July 1913 at 619 No. Riverside Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 44 from acute dilation of the heart lasting 2 days and from cirrhosis of the liver. Geo. W. Russell, M.D. Undertaker, Thomas F. Bergin leaving Augustin Aimé Francis a widower.19,20
     Frank filled out a military census form on 8 March 1917 in Connecticut. The Connecticut “Military Census” was taken in 1917–1918 at the direction of the General Assembly with an eye to assessing manpower available for war and other resources in the state. The census included surveys on agriculture, factories, and even automobiles, but the forms included here are questionnaires filled out by men ages 16 and over. The census was much more than a simple name count, and these questionnaires asked for details in a number of areas: name, post office address, trade or profession, agemarital status, number of dependents, citizenship,military service, and physical disability.They also asked men to report on various skills, including whether they could ride a horse or drive a team, ride a motorcycle, operate a wireless, handle a steam engine or a boat, or swim well.
     His card showed that he was 51 years old, 5' 5 1/2" tall, weighing 155 lbs. He was not a citizen of the United States at that time nor had he taken out papers to become one. He did not know how to ride a horse or handle a team, could not drive or swim, and did not have experience with electrical machinery, among other things. He was a widower with 5 dependents.21 He resided on 8 March 1917 at 619 North Riverside St., Waterbury, Connecticut, with his 5 children.22
     Frank Sinotte, age 53, appears as head of household in the census of 4th and 5th Jan 1920 in 619 North Riverside Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, with Rosemary Synott, Raymond H. Synott and Sadie Synott. Eleanor Synnott, age 35, also on the census living with this family. She is the sister of Frank, head of the family.23 Augustin Aimé Francis Sinotte resided in 1922 at 619 North Riverside Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, His son, Francis, and daughter Sadie, were also living at this address. Other family members may have been living here but were not recorded in the city directory.4 He resided in 1924 at 619 North Riverside, Waterbury, Connecticut, His son, Francis, was also living at this address with his wife Dora.      Augustin Aimé Francis Sinotte married second Clara LaChance on 12 July 1925 at Waterbury, Connecticut. She was his brother Joseph's widow.25
     Augustin Aimé Francis Sinotte died on 22 September 1927 at 53 East Dover Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 60 from mitral disease of the heart with secondary general exhaustion. His second wife, Clara, was the informant.26 He was buried in September 1927 at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut, in the family plot next to his first wife, Mary Ann.27,28
