     On 25 April 1913, Michaelemigrated from Queenstown, Ireland, aboard the S. S. Cedric with Michael's brother, Peter, and his wife, Rose and arrived in the Port of New York on May 4, 1913.19
     Michael Dawson was found on a passenger list in July 1913 leaving the Port of New York heading to the UK aboard the ship the S. S. Cedric, the same boat on which he arrived a few months before with his brother and sister-in-law. It looks as if he were returning home to Ireland.20
     Michael Dawson died on 7 July 1913 at sea from a suicide. (The ship's log shows that there was a sole death recorded and it was Michael Dawson, age 24, Factory Hand, Irish, who drowned at sea (suicide) on July 7, 1913 at 8:30 PM.)21

She left Ireland at age 15 with the Presentation Nuns on a mission to India and never returned. The last picture of her taken was in Bangalord, India.8

The papers described him as 23 years old, 5 ft. 8 in., blue eyes, and brown hair.20,21
     Willie joined the New York City Police Department on 11 October 1911. Seven years later, he was promoted to First Grade Detective. He received 5 commendations and was a member of the Police Department Honor Legion.18
     William Joseph Begley married Catherine McDonough on 5 July 1914 at St. Paul's Church, New York.4,22,18,23
     Between 1917 and 1928, per his obituary, he was one of the best known detectives at Harlem.18
     Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. The first registration was for men between the ages of 21 and 31. As a result, this registration included men born between June 5, 1886 and June 5, 1896. William Joseph Begley filled out a draft card on 5 June 1917 at Manhattan, New York. It showed that he was tall, medium build, blue eyes, and brown hair.3
     William's a corporal in the Infantry.3
     William Joseph Begley resided in June 1917 at 105 E. 122 Street, New York, New York, with his wife and child.3 He was a patrolman at the 31st Precinct in June 1917 at New York City, New York.3
