           Mary Hely was born in 1826 at County Waterford, Ireland..8 She was baptized on 28 February 1826 at Clashmore Church, Drumgullane, Clashmore and Kinsalebeg Parish, County Waterford, Ireland. Sponsors were Tomas Healy and Margaret Currien.1
     Mary Hely married Patrick Lehane, son of James Lehane and Mary Broderick, on 12 November 1865 at Poltown Chapel, the townland of Drumgullane, Clashmore, County Waterford, Ireland. Witnesses to the marriage were Margaret Lehan (sister to the groom) and John Hely (brother to the bride.)9,4,10 Mary Hely was an informant to the death of Andrew Lehane, her son, on 9 May 1872 at Grallagh, County Waterford, Ireland.11 Mary Hely immigrated in 1881.12
     Mary Hely appears as Mary Lehan, age 72, in the census of 19 June 1900 at 56 South Street, Waterbury, Connecticut,in the household of Patrick Lehane as his wife.12 Mary Hely was an informant to the death of Patrick Lehane, her husband, on 1 November 1901; from pneumonia and aedema of the lungs.13,14,15
     Mary Hely died on 12 June 1905 at 388 Mill Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 79 from lobar pneumonia lasting 1 week and a secondary cause of asthenia lasting 4 days.2,16 She was buried in June 1905 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut.2
