     Henry was prominent in athletics. He coached at the high school, college, and amateur levels in basketball, football, and baseball, and was outstanding in all three sports , although basketball was considered to be his best sport. (See obituary image to read about his past achievements.)18,19
     Henry W. Carrington died on 21 December 1980 at Waterbury, Connecticut, at age 79.20 He was buried in December 1980 at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, Connecticut.21
