     The following obituary was written in the Waterbury Republican Newspaper on 21 March 1964:
     Edward J. Carrington, 359 Peck Lane, died at St. Mary's Hospital yesterday afternoon following a brief illness.
     Born in Waterbury, son of Anna (Dwyer) Carrington, and the late Lewis W. Carrington, he had resided in Cheshire since 1947. He was the owner of The Carrington Pharmacy, a communicant of St. Bridget's Chruch, a member of the Third and Fourth Degree, Santa Fe COuncil, Knights of Columbus, and The National Pharmacists Association. The Carrington family boys are noted for their basketball ability.
     He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice (Shanahan) Carrington, Cheshire; his mother, of Waterbury; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Smith, Okinawa, Mrs. Andrew Maddaloni, Cheshire, and Miss Rosemary Carrington, Cheshire; six brothers, Henry, Middlebury, Lewis, Waterbury, George, Crisfield, Md., John, New Milford, Raymond, Waterbury, and Frank, Frostburg, Md; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Wooley, New York City, Mrs. Thomas Phelan, Mrs. Ruth Donnelly, and Mrs. John Schum, all of Waterbury; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     The funeral will be held Monday at 9:15 a. am. from the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St., Waterbury, to St. Bridget's Church for a solemn high Mass at 10. Burial will be in new St. Bridget's Cemetery.4

     John F. Carrington, 88, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Waterbury, died Wednesday, May 9, at his home. Mr. Carrington was born in Waterbury and grew up in the city. He was one of 18 children and the last survivor of 9 sons, who all excelled in athletics. He leaves two daughters, Janice Sullivan, of Sun City, Nev., and Jean Suddaby of Washington, Conn; a son, Jack Carrington Jr of Brunswick, Maine; a sister, Grace Shum, of Waterbury, 13 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.4

          The funeral of Miss Loretta May Carrington took place this morning from her late home, 35 South Fifth street, at 8;30 o'clock, to St. Patrick's church, where a mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. Father Laflin. The bearers were Maurice Shea, John King, William Klodedanz, and James Dunn. The floral offerings were beautiful, including a pillow marked, "Our Darling," from the parents of the deceased ; a heart of red and white roses, marked "May," from Mr. and Mrs. William Dwyer; a large bouquet of pink carnations and ferns, Mr. and Mrs John Dwyer; a bouquet of chrysanthemums, Miss Sarah Cunningham; bouquet of white roses, Miss Margaret Dillane; bouquet of pink roses, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Munson; bouquet of pink carnations and ferns, the Misses Minnie and Lily Rees; bouquet of white chrysanthemums, Saxe and Floto; a large bouquet of white chrysanthemums, Rebecca Black, Julia Bates, Sadie Roke, Daisy Howe, Agnes Downey, Catherine Leary, Jennie Finn, May Lynn, Mr. Griswold and Mr. Lovell, from the Scovill Manufacturing Co.4

     Paul H. Carrington married Lorraine S. Jacovino on 17 February 1968 at Waterbury, Connecticut.8,9
     In 1973, Paul and his brother, Lew, founded The Carrington Company. That company grew into the largest mailing euqipment dealership in the nation. Paul's particular love in the business was designing mail centers and selling Hamilton Sorter mail center furniture. He was also president and a key member of the negotiating team for the national Neopost (succesor to Friden) dealers' association, working many hours on contracts on behalf of all the dealers. As chair of the Hartford-area Postal Customer Council, he enjoyed teaching others about the mailing industry.2

          The funeral of Daniel Dwyer took place yesterday afternoon from his late residence on Sixth street to St. Patrick's church, where a mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Father Lawless. The pallbearers were Maurice Ryan, Thomas Sheridan, Joseph Flynn, Edyard (sic) Conlon, Michael O'Brien and Patrick Young. The interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery.4
